What Does a Boiler Service Include?
Our engineers carry out a full gas boiler service every time, here’s what you can expect on the day:
- A thorough visual Inspection of the heat exchanger, burner, hydraulics and controls.
- Flue inspection and emissions testing for safe combustion and flue integrity.
- Gas meter checks including let-by and tightness testing and safety shut off device testing.
- Cleaning of condensate traps and internal components as needed.
- We complete the boiler service checks and provide a CP6 service record. Landlord Gas Safety Records, commonly known as CP12s, are a separate service where required.

Our boiler service costs £105+VAT. Which includes a full service and certificate for one appliance.
If your boiler requires any routine maintenance such as new door seals or gaskets for example, this will be explained to you at the time and a cost provided for the additional works. If you’re happy with the additional cost and want to go ahead with the work we often have the parts in stock and the engineer can complete the job there and then, easy!
Servicing a boiler usually takes one of our gas engineers around 1 hour to complete, but it can take longer depending on the specific make and model.
Stripping down heat exchangers during a four year major service can take longer and incur some additional labour costs as a result but this will be explained at the time and you can choose the option that fits your budget.
